Teesside-based digital imaging specialists, Peak Aerial have secured a £25,000 loan via the Finance for Business North East Microloan Fund. The regional loan scheme is committed to providing straightforward loans anywhere between £1,000 up to £25,000 for businesses based in the North East.
Peak Aerial specialise in the provision of digital inspection and imaging techniques using expert drone technology. Capitalising on this emerging sector using drone technology in range of applications, Peak Aerial focus its use on the industrial sector carrying out the inspection of buildings, plants and equipment at a height.
The company was founded in 2014 and is led by sole Director Paul Kitchener who spent 4 years running Peak Image Studio working as a professional photographer before founding his new venture, Peak Aerial. Paul previously serviced a range of corporate and private clients and was appointed to manage the national contract for Tesco’s PR photography.
Paul said, “The micro loan injection has enabled PEAK Aerial Inspection & Imaging to invest in the relevant training and the latest drone technology, using industry experts and our experience as professional photographers/videographers we can now offer a one stop solution to industrial inspections at height, saving man hours and shutdown time whilst minimising the initial risk to human life.
The team at Rivers Capital made the micro loan application process simple while offering great business advice and funds were available within a few weeks, I would encourage any ambitious or expanding north east business to make use of this service.”
The loan secured from the Fund will enable Peak Aerial to expand into other sectors that suffer from significant regulations and legislative measures and can benefit from the use of drone technology. Peak Aerial has identified a number of areas whereby proven and tested consultants can add significant value to the standard photography and videography service offerings. Drone Technology can save time, money and reduce the risks to human life.
James Holloway, Investment Executive commented, “Paul is a highly experienced photographer with an excellent reputation in the region. Combining his skills with the exciting drone technology will allow the business to expand into a lot of new sectors, and we look forward to seeing what he does next.”
The Microloan Fund is ideal for inspired individuals who know that lack of finance is the missing link that is holding their business back. The Fund is specifically aimed at businesses that have been struggling to secure mainstream finance and can provide affordable credit for those with a poor credit history. The decision to provide a loan is not based on the assets a company has but rather the overall quality of the business.
